Failed Appointments
Every month between 60 and 150 patients fail to attend their booked appointments. This not only wastes a great deal of surgery time but also denies other patients access to Doctors, Nurses and other clinical staff. With the demand for our services being at an all-time high, the surgery takes this issue very seriously. We now monitor failed appointments on a daily basis.
Patients who miss appointments will be contacted by the Reception Manager either by letter or telephone. Ultimately those patients who repeatedly fail to attend may be removed from our patient list and will need to register elsewhere. Please ensure that you attend your appointment – should you wish to cancel please give us a minimum of 48 hours notice so that the appointment can be allocated to another patient.
